Periodontal Treatment

Periodontal disease is a disease around the teeth that is caused by plaque.

If plaque is left untreated, it will produce toxins between the teeth and gums, causing tartar and calculus formation, which can lead to gingivitis.

If tartar is not removed, the pockets between the teeth and gums will then get periodontal disease.

The inflammation deepens and the teeth become loose.

The causes of periodontal disease include lifestyle-related factors (smoking, diabetes, excessive stress, teeth grinding, etc.)

Genetic factors (for example, if both parents lost their teeth at an early age) can also be a factor.

The important thing is to disinfect and remove calculus through scaling (deep cleaning).

After treatment for periodontal disease, regular dental cleanings will help prevent swollen gums.

Internal Bleaching

Teeth that had previous Root Canal Treatments can often turn darker after a few years. This is due to the lack of blood supply that would usually provide nourishment. The easiest way to correct color is by placing a small amout of bleaching agent inside the root canal and whitening the tooth from the inside. This usually takes about 2-3 visits depending on tooth response.

Orthodontic Aligners

Utilizing digital 3D technology from Dentsply Sirona, USA

A clear aligner mouthpiece orthodontic treatment (Sure Smile) system is used.

Digital production provides high accuracy and is customized for each patient.

Since the appliance is removable, patient cooperation is essential for the success of the treatment.

Orthodontic Treatment

For comprehensive cases where aligners will not be sufficient to provide necessary tooth movement, traditional wire braces is indicated. This involves using brackets and wires to gently shift teeth into the desired positions. Orthodontic treatment can address issues like crooked, crowded, or gapped teeth, as well as bite problems like overbites and underbites.

Extraction

Dental extraction involves surgical removal of a tooth from its socket in the jawbone. It's a common dental procedure performed for various reasons, including severe decay, gum disease, or when a tooth cannot be saved by other treatments like fillings or root canals.

Implant

An implant screw is inserted into the bone where the tooth was lost.

This treatment involves attaching an artificial tooth using the screw as a base.

Generally, an Oral Surgeon or Periodontist will place the implant screw and your General Dentist will make the crown.
